  About: Embrace Birth Care

Hello and welcome!

Embrace Birth Care is an independent out-of-hospital,  home-birth midwifery practice. Our passion and focus is to support families who desire natural physiological childbirth, and to provide holistic healthcare throughout the childbearing cycle.

Our clinic/office is located downtown in the heart of Fergus Falls, Minnesota . At Embrace Birth Care we offer quality, safe, individualized midwifery care, that is client led and centered around full informed decision making.

It is Embrace Birth Care's primary goal to provide women and their families with a clear understanding of all their maternity care options. We believe that when women build trusting relationships with their care providers, this lays the foundation to help women become empowered.  We support, monitor, and provide individualized care. All while providing space for autonomous decision making through informed choice. This helps women to grow to trust in their own birthing intuition and wisdom.

Holistic and family centered care is important to us . We listen to our client's wants and needs. We make timely referrals when needed, schedule ultrasounds, collect labs at the clinic when needed. We also help direct families to helpful local resources throughout their pregnancy journey's.

About

Services

MIDWIFERY CARE

In our society, many health care services are offered as one-size-fits-all. Choosing a midwife offers you a chance for expert personalized care based on research and evidence. Midwifery care does not rely on providing a specific set of childbirth procedures or practices for all women. Instead, midwives tailor care to meet the wants and needs of each woman and her baby. In this way, midwives maintain the best conditions possible for a safe and healthy outcome for all involved.

WATER BIRTH

Water birth is the process of giving birth in a tub of warm water. Some women choose to labor in the water and get out for the birth of the baby. Other women decide to stay in the water for the birth as well. The theory behind water birth is that since the baby has already been in the amniotic fluid sac for nine months, birthing in a similar environment is gentler for the baby and less stressful for the mother.

“Having Ann for support throughout my pregnancy, during labor and delivery, and postpartum was simply a blessing. She is extremely attentive, caring, and equipped. Ann helped to educate me on the best options for me and my baby and empowered me to make those decisions myself. As a labor coach she was calm and confident, giving me the space to do what I needed to do, but also guiding me and stepping in when needed. The best part about having Ann as my midwife was having someone there who cultivated a bond with me and really knew me and my needs. I would recommend Ann to anyone who wants a pregnancy care provider who will personalize the experience and use her expertise to cater to your individual needs.”
